Our mineral reserves and resources are our most important asset and the foundation of our company’s overall assets.
Like all Canadian mining companies, we estimate our mineral reserves and resources using definitions and guidelines adopted by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (called the CIM definitions and guidelines), and according to National Instrument 43-101 of the Canadian Securities Administrators. Canadian mining companies use the CIM definitions and guidelines to categorize mineral reserves and resources, based on the likelihood that minerals can be mined economically. Mineral resources are separate from mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability. Download the PDF of our mineral reserves and resources as at December 31, 2007.
